Uh-oh.

THE BOARD OF CENSORS
I know I will get stoned for this, but I think the MTRCB has every right to censor and be concerned for the public good. And there are no set-rules. We will assign the people we trust and then trust their good judgement. If you really want to watch uncensorable films, buy the DVD, rent it from a shop, travel abroad, etc. I know it is unfair. But hey I would prefer a peaceful, a little censored film society. Then a free-wheeling, free speech, violent society. If you want that, you can always live in New York.

I'm just sick and tired of the ST-films masquerading as art films. It is sooo annoying.

PINOY DIRECTORS

ROBERT QUEBRAL
Pinoy director of the PICHA PIE MTV of Parokya ni Edgar and the B&W commericals of MCDO. Much potential in making a movie hit!

AUREAUS SOLITO
Pinoy director of HULING EL BIMBO of Eraserheads and IMPENG NEGRO. Has another work in the works about the people of Palawan, his home province.
Should be good.

RAYMOND RED
He won the Cannes in Short Film for ANINO. He won the Cannes!!!

KIDLAT TAHIMIK
He won in the Berlin Film Festival before.

LAV DIAZ
Just directed a 5-hour movie called BATANG WESTSIDE. It sounds pretentious, but initial reviews have been good. We'll see. But 5 hours, augh.

LYLE
Award-winning punk music MTV director, he's going to be directing two ST films soon. We'll see if he has what it takes.

NICK DEOCAMPO
Brave short film and docu director. Runs Mowelfund.

ELLEN RAMOS
My teacher at Mowelfund.

RICKY ORELLANA
My teacher at Mowelfund.

GLENN CRUZ
My teacher at Mowelfund.

TOPEL LEE
BRUCE, a short film, is soooo funnee!!!

QUARK HENARES
A DATE WITH JAO MAPA is amazing! This guy has great potential. Our next Guy Ritchie. Sheyet, our first Quark Henares.

MO ZEE
Amazing musical and sound skills and storytelling ability. Watch DIKDIK, SLUMBER PARTY and SAMPAGUITA VENDOR.

CHRIS COSTELLO
His short, QUARK COMES OUT, was sweet! Interesting coming from a such a big feller, but he has the touch, maybe he'll make a full length romance
someday.

RAMON DE VEYRA
His LAST DAY was funny. Along the lines of LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS and RUN, LOLA, RUN. Very interesting.

EJ SALCEDO
My classmate at Mowelfund. This guy is da man! He runs a production outfit called CORE24. He dreams one day of making a SWINGERS-type movie!
Party on, dude!

WOWIE
Also my classmate at Mowelfund. Loves Tim Burton. Has directed some MTV's.

OGIE
Also my classmate at Mowelfund. PUNKS, dude!

BAHAGHARI
Need a brave cinematographer, this guy is for you.

MARILOU DIAZ ABAYA
One of our "great" directors. MURO-AMI was pleasing to the eye, but bad storytelling. She has inspired many of us to try our luck at film directing.

LINO BROCKA
Constantly referred to whenever people ask what great movies have Pinoys done. That answer is getting hackneyed. Yes, he was good. But, sheyet,
that was before. We're talking about now!

ISHMAEL BERNAL
I haven't seen ORO, PLATA, MATA but I've seen HIMALA which was pretty good.

MIKE DE LEON
The only mainstream director I respect so far in this country, coz of his Batch 81'. It was dedicated pala to CLOCKWORK ORANGE. Interesting.

LAURICE GUILLEN
One of our "better" directors. To be honest I didn't see TANGING YAMAN and I'm not to keen on seeing AMERICAN ADOBO either. Gawrsh naman, why did you have to copy EAT DRINK MAN WOMAN, SOUL FOOD, THE BIG NIGHT, BABETTE'S FEAST and all the other food genre movies naman.

CARLO J. CAPARAS
Hehehe. I would love to come out in these guys movies someday. hahaha. Speaking about food genre movies, I think we have great potential in beach
genre movies. Just look at THE BEACH.
